I’m Jim Cole, a Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert living in Atlanta Georgia. Throughout my career I have been successful in various rolls within the Manufacturing process arena.
As a Quality Process Engineer, my duties include studying current production and quality control measures, developing ways to improve them, and training workers on new policies.
As a Senior Staff Project Engineer I led a team of engineers performing >7000 tool audits resulting in >10% reduction in tool planning requirements
As an Integrated Project Team Lead I Implemented Lean Manufacturing processes reducing required waste and eliminating unnecessary waste.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I performed detailed man loading studies resulting in reduction of schedule positions thereby achieving a 15% reduction to the build span.
As a Product Engineer I create test protocol for product development, bench-marking, and product quality verification. This test protocol is used to on-board products which comply to company standards and out perform the competition.
As a Value Engineer I provide detailed product analysis identifying gaps in competitive costing, driving positive margins and improving customer value

Inspiration
As I took this picture, I was thinking of the following special story. Many times in my life has this story been so relevant.
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

The Next Step
The Next Step
I have been fortunate to have had a very rewarding career in Manufacturing and Value Engineering. Working for large corporations has afforded me the opportunity to work and become friends with a diverse work force. One of my greatest achievements was relocating and re-tooling a major assembly line while meeting cost and schedule goals. I have a passion for developing and improving processes as well as identifying and providing competitive costs. Going forward I desire to work for a company where my skills, talents, experience and personality cultivate a mutually beneficial relationship.
